MAE 6570 - Optimal Spacecraft Guidance

3 credits

N-dimensional constrained and unconstrained nonlinear parameter optimization and nonlinear dynamic system optimization. Emphasizes solutions to optimal spacecraft trajectories problems and the development of associated optimal guidance algorithms. Covers in detail the Space Shuttle Powered-Explicit-Guidance (PEG).

Prerequisite/Restriction: MATH 2210  and MATH 2250  or equivalents
