MUSC 1120 - Music Theory II

3 credits

Course is an in-depth study of chromatic harmony and modulation. Topics include secondary dominants, modal mixture, Neapolitan and augmented sixths, closely-related modulation, distantly-delated modulation, binary form, and writing about music for different audiences.

Prerequisite/Restriction: Completion of MUSC 1110  with a C- or better or faculty authorization
