CS Professional Program Requirements
|
|
For all Computer Science majors in the professional program the following academic regulations apply, in addition to University regulations:
- For Computer Science all courses meeting a major requirement must have a C- or better.
- The P/D+, D, F grading option may not be used in any class fulfilling a Computer Science major requirement regardless of subject.
- Once students attain advanced standing (admission to the professional program), they must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.3. The GPA will be computed using all USU credits, as well as transfer credits (if those transfer credits are applied to any USU requirements, including major requirements).
- Students may have no more than one 5000-level-or-above Computer Science course with a grade less than C- on their transcript, regardless of whether all major requirements are otherwise met. For example, if a student has successfully completed 19 credits of eligible Upper-Division Computer Science Electives but still has two CS5000-level courses with a grade of D+ or lower on his/her transcript, one of those failed classes must be repeated.
