“A” Pin Award
The “A” Pin is an award presented to undergraduate students who have received a 4.0 GPA for two consecutive semesters under the following criteria:
- Completion of 15 or more graded credits (no Pass grades).
- No Incomplete (I) grades or Withdrawal (W) grades. (Incompletes can be completed and will count once those grades are finalized as a 4.0. Students must check with the Provost’s Office to verify, if that is the case.)
- Second bachelor students are not included.
- Courses and semesters count only once - no repeated courses.
- Summer semester may count if 15 or more credits are taken. If students do not attend in summer, spring and fall will be considered as consecutive semesters.
- If students attend in summer but take less than 15 credits, students must receive a 4.0 to be considered for spring and fall as consecutive semesters.
The award consists of a pin featuring the Old Main tower and a certificate signed by the provost and college dean. Students who meet the criteria more than once will receive an additional award.
