Adding Courses

Students may add classes until the end of the first week. After the first week of the semester through the twentieth percent which is usually the fifteenth day of a full semester course and seventh day for a seven-week semester course, students need to obtain instructor permission before the student can add the class to their schedule. To obtain instructor permission the students request must be recorded on an official Registration Options form which is located on our Forms List web page. Students may not register without instructor or departmental permission into a full class.

Between the twentieth and the sixtieth percent of the course length, students may submit a Petition for Late Add using the online form which is located on our Forms List. Permission will be obtained from the Instructor, Academic Advisor and Associate Dean for undergraduate students and from the Instructor and Graduate Program Chair for graduate students. Refer to our deadlines on the Registration Calendar which must be observed. Courses may be added for credit or audit. Registration Options and Petition for Late Add request are dated and cannot be processed if older than three business days.
