Adding Courses

Students may add a course on their own until the end of the first week of class. After the first week of the course through 20 percent, which is the add/drop deadline, students must obtain instructor permission to be able to add the class to their schedule. Students may not register for a class at full capacity without instructor or department permission.

Between 20 percent of the course, which is the add/drop deadline, and 60 percent of the course, which is the withdrawal deadline of the course, students must submit a Petition for Late Add form to register for the class. The Late Add request requires permission from the Instructor, Academic Advisor, and Associate Dean for undergraduate students or Graduate Program Coordinator for graduate students.
