Religion Credit

Since Winter 1982, new students entering Utah State University have not received transfer credit from nonaccredited institutions in those cases where USU lacks an academic unit to evaluate such transfer credits. Institutions such as the Logan School of Theology and the LDS Institute are nonaccredited. Students who have entered the University after January 1, 1982 may not transfer credits earned at these institutions to their University transcript.

Students who were enrolled at USU prior to Winter 1982 may transfer a maximum of 8 credits of nonsectarian courses to their USU transcript (no matter when the courses were taken).

Students may transfer credits to their University transcript for nonsectarian courses from accredited institutions (e.g., Brigham Young University, Notre Dame, etc.). A maximum of 8 credits earned in such nonsectarian courses may be transferred at the request of the student.
