MAE 5040 - Experimental Solid Mechanics 3 credits
Students learn experimental techniques for determining stress, strain, elastic properties, and fracture properties. Techniques include strain gauges, optical methods, digital image correlation, high-speed measurements, and nanoscale measurements.
Prerequisite/Restriction:
- MAE 3040
- MAE 3340 (may be taken concurrently)
- Student must be in the Professional Engineering Program or have graduate standing
