MAE 5430 - Advanced Thermal-Fluids
3 credits
Students learn advanced topics in thermal-fluid sciences, building upon knowledge from thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Topics covered include fins, heat exchangers, gas mixtures, psychrometrics, combustion, exergy, gas, vapor, refrigeration cycles, minor losses, flow networks, and turbomachinery.
Prerequisite/Restriction:
- MAE 3440
- Student must be in the Professional Engineering Program or have graduate standing
