CS 5500 - Parallel Programming
4 credits
This course examines basic techniques for designing parallel algorithms on cluster computers with message-passing, such as master/slave, round robin, butterfly reduction, cellular automata, load balancing, and genetic algorithms. It includes a major team project with a formal software development process.
