MLT 2570 - Clinical Microbiology I
5 credits
This course introduces the theory, practical application and pathogenesis of clinical microbiology. It covers collection, setup, identification, susceptibility testing, and reporting procedures. Laboratory exercises emphasize clinically-significant microorganism identification. Students participate in the culture, staining and antibiotic testing of various organisms.
Prerequisite/Restriction: Admission to the MLT program or instructor permission
