TEAL 6390 - Teaching with Literature and Informational Texts

3 credits

This course focuses on selecting literature and informational texts to support standards-based language arts and content area instruction. The course will focus on strategies for strengthening students’ comprehension of these texts, building academic language through reading these texts, and selecting from a wide range of texts including those that represent the wide range of cultures and ethnicities in U.S. schools.
