BENG 2330 - Engineering Properties of Biological Materials 3 credits
This course provides a hands-on overview of natural and synthetic materials with application in medical, bioprocessing, and bioenvironmental engineering disciplines. Structure function relationships in biological materials and methods of materials characterization, with a focus on laboratory technique and instrumentation are prestented. Technical writing fundamentals and elements of engineering design are emphasized through detailed, concise lab reports and topic presentations.
Prerequisite/Restriction: BIOL 1610 and BENG 1880 Prerequisite/Corequisites: CHEM 2300 or CHEM 2310 ; and CHEM 2315
