ELED 3100 - Classroom Reading Instruction
3 credits
Introduces the preservice teacher candidate to the teaching and learning processes associated with reading instruction in the elementary school. Emphasis is placed on developing competencies for teaching phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Focus includes instructional techniques, methods and materials for whole-class reading instruction.
Prerequisite/Restriction: Admission to an Elementary Education program; grade of B- or better in ELED 1010 and FCHD 1500
