MAE 5300 - Vibrations 3 credits
Vibration of single and multiple degree of freedom, and discrete mass systems. Natural frequencies and mode shapes for free, damped, and undamped systems. Forcing functions and transient responses. Matrix methods, numerical solution, and random vibrations. Applications and design.
Prerequisite/Restriction: ENGR 2030 , ENGR 2140 Student must be in the Professional Engineering Program or have Graduate Standing
