PHYS 4020 - Science, Art, and Music (DSC/QI)

DSC/QI Depth Life and Physical Sciences and Quantitative Intensive
3 credits

Explores how science constrains production and appreciation of visual and auditory art. Relevance to art of: physics of sound and light, perspective and observer in relativity and quantum mechanics, symmetry, fractals, chaos, complex adaptive behavior, and self-organization.

Prerequisite/Restriction:  Quantitative Literacy (QL), and Physical or Life Sciences breadth (BPS or BLS) requirements
