PHYS 2320 - Physics for Physics Majors II 4 credits
The study of waves, electromagnetism, quantum phenomena, and relativity. Topics include sound waves, electromagnetic forces and fields, electric potential, Maxwell’s equations, electrical circuits, optics, particle-wave duality, atomic and nuclear phenomena, and special relativity. Includes activities related to the profession of physics.
Prerequisite/Restriction: MATH 1210 , PHYS 2310 or PHYS 2210 , and physics major or instructor permission
Corequisite: MATH 1220
