PSC 5070 - Advanced Agroecology

3 credits

Summary: A critical evaluation of agroecology and its role in the management of agroecosystems. Concepts in ecology introduced from the perspective of agriculture with research examples discussed.  Challenges to adoption and the role of community in sustainable food systems explored.

Prerequisite/Restriction: PSC 3800  Fundamentals of Organic Agriculture, PSC 3000  Fundamentals of Soil Science, PSC 3500  Structure and Function of Plants
