GEO 3700 - Structural Geology

4 credits

Geometries, mechanisms, and mechanics of rock deformation. Stress and strain relationships, fault and fold classification and description. Lab presents applications and techniques for representing deformed rocks in map, cross section, and three-dimensional views; interpretation of deformed rocks. Three lectures and one lab per week.

Prerequisite/Restriction: GEO 1110 , GEO 3550 .
