WATS 4930 - Geographic Information Systems


4 credits

Builds proficiency in application of GIS to solve spatial problems. Topics include: georeferencing, vector and raster analyses, DEM construction, morphometric analysis, suitability modeling, geoprocessing, and error assessment. One third of semester spent implementing student GIS projects.

Prerequisite/Restriction: GEOG 1800  Recommended prerequisite for WATS 6920 : GIS introduction or coursework.
