SPED 5070 - Policies, Procedures, and Collaboration in Special Education

This course provides an understanding of federal and state laws for persons with disabilities, procedures for organizing a special education classroom, and strategies for communicating and collaborating with parents and teachers as members of a multidisciplinary team.
Prerequisite(s): SPED 4000 and SPED 5040 ; with a grade of B- or higher; Teacher Education and Special Education program admission
