HIST 3489 - Medieval Japan
3 credits
This course is a survey of the History of Japan from the last years of the Tokogawa Period (1850’s). From that point it will explore the development of Japan’s culture, social, and economic evolution. It will cover Japan’s transition form a Feudal society, virtually hidden from the world, to a competitive world power. It will then analyze the conditions and issues of Japan Today.
