MUSC 1120 - Music Theory II 3 credit(s)
This course is an in-depth study of chromatic harmony and modulation. Topics include secondary dominants, modal mixture, Neapolitan and augmented sixths, closely-related modulation, distantly-delated modulation, binary form, and writing about music for different audiences.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of MUSC 1110 with a C or better.
Registration Restriction(s): Admission to Music (MUSC), Music Education (MSCE), or Music Therapy (MUTH) programs, including Pre-Program Music Department students.
