STAT 1040 - Introduction to Statistics (QL)

This is a course on descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Conceptual understanding and statistical thinking is emphasized over the use of formulas. Students work with real-world examples from many different areas and disciplines.

Prerequisite(s): One of the following within the last two years or six consecutive semesters (including summer):

ACT Math score of 19 or higher or equivalent SAT Math score ,
Suffiicient score on AP Exam equivalent to MATH 1050 or higher
Grade of C- or better in MATH 995 (a passing grade of P is acceptable)
Grade of C- or better in MATH 1050 or MATH 1100 (a passing grade of P is acceptable)
Satisfactory score on the ALEKS Math Placement Exam
