The Aviation Technology Department provides instruction to students seeking an aviation related certificate, associate of applied science, baccalaureate and/or master degree.

Undergraduate Programs

Mission Statement

Our mission is to prepare and inspire the next generation of aviation professionals by providing innovative education and training in aviation technology. We strive to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of aviation technology, maintenance, operations, and unmanned aerial systems. Through a combination of cutting-edge technology, hands-on learning, an experiential education, we aim to develop skilled and knowledgeable individuals who are committed to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism in the aviation industry.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for most programs in the Aviation Technology Department are the same as those described for the university for incoming freshman and most transfer students. See individual program listings and advisors for additional information and requirements.


University Honors Program

The University Honors Program offers students in all colleges and majors the unique opportunity to deepen their educational experience with hands-on practical applications of their academic knowledge. The Honors Program admits incoming, transfer, and existing USU students based on application. High-achieving students with at least one year remaining are encouraged to apply. Graduate Programs

Admission Requirements

See general admission requirements. Applications will be considered throughout the year. However, students who wish to be considered for financial aid must apply by February 1 for the coming academic year. No application will be considered until all required information arrives at the office of the School of Graduate Studies.
