The Institute for Interdisciplinary Transition Services (Transition Institute) – focuses on the progression of youth and students with disabilities from secondary education to postsecondary engagement in employment, education, and living. Established in Fall 2013, the Transition Institute is an organizational structure for state-of-the-art research, education, and services. The primary targets are the development and promotion of the use of empirically-validated, effective transition processes to improve results. The benefits are higher expectations, greater quality, and access to opportunities of increased value for youth and students with disabilities along with their parents, families, and/or support team members.
