- Major requirements may not be taken on a pass/fail basis unless only offered as pass/fail
Departmental Requirements:
- Freshman and sophomore students usher for each department production they are not involved in as actor or run crew.
- Attend production strikes as assigned. Strike crew calls are posted during performance week.

Required Theatre Arts Core Courses (21 credits)
Required Theatre Arts courses for all emphases and concentrations in the Department of Theatre Arts except those with an Acting emphasis. Acting students have a slight modification in their required core.
Theatre Practicum Requirement (6 credits)

Required Production Assignments (4 credits)
All design/tech students apply for production assignments in December/January for the following academic year. Assignments are made by the design/tech faculty. These assignments are in addition to the practicum requirement (THEA 2555 ) and are completed outside of practicum work hours.
- THEA 2575 - Production Projects 1 (2 credits required)
Costume Construction: Stitcher (1 credit)
Costume Construction: First Hand (1 credit) - THEA 4555 - Production Assignments 2 (2 credits required)
Students take THEA 4555 twice: once for Production Assignments credit (Wardrobe Head) and once for Costume Design Emphasis credit (Assistant Costume Design).
