This minor prepares students to complete the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Commercial Drone Pilot certification. Students develop a working knowledge of design, maintenance, control of unmanned aerial systems and learn how small UAS skills can enhance other majors and careers. A minimum grade of C- is required for minor courses. To declare the minor a student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. This minor requires 12 credits.

Required Courses (9 credits)
AV 1900 and AV 1910 (both classes) can be used to replace AV 3500 with the completion of the Part 107 exam (see program advisor for details).
