A student who desires to pursue a minor in Mechanical Engineering must recognize that there may be prerequisites to required minor courses and that a GPA of 3.00 (or higher) must be obtained in the Required Minor Courses (12 Credits) and have no more than one total repeat in the Required Minor Courses. Audits are counted as a repeat. A student with less than a 3.00 in the Required Minor Courses or with more than one repeat in those courses is ineligible for the minor and cannot register for the upper division Elective Minor Course.

Before you can declare a minor, you must have a declared major with 30 completed credits and a 3.00 GPA or higher in your declared major. Courses for the minor may not be taken on a pass/fail basis. A total of 15 credits is required.
