Majors in other departments may obtain a minor in physics by successfully completing the following courses:

PHYS 2210 - Physics for Scientists and Engineers I (BPS/QI) 4 or
PHYS 2310 - Physics for Scientists I (BPS/QI) 4
PHYS 2215 - Physics for Scientists and Engineers Lab I 1
PHYS 2220 - Physics for Scientists and Engineers II (BPS/QI) 4 or
PHYS 2320 - Physics for Scientists II (BPS/QI) 4
PHYS 2225 - Physics for Scientists and Engineers Lab II 1
Elective courses in Physics chosen from:
PHYS 2500 - Introduction to Computer Methods in Physics 2
PHYS 2710 - Introductory Modern Physics 3
PHYS courses above the 3xxx level (1 course designated as a USU Depth (DSC) course may be included.) 10
Math 1220 is a prerequisite for PHYS 2710.
Only 1 credit of PHYS 5800 may be used to fulfill this requirement.

Note:

The Teaching Minor in Physics requires completion of the Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP). Admission to STEP with this minor requires an overall GPA of 3.0. All courses needed for this minor must be passed with a C grade or better.
