  • Only one repeat is allowed to earn a C- or better grade per CHEM prefix course to stay in this major.

Student must also complete the University Studies Depth Requirements

Chemistry Program Requirements


  • Grade of C- or better is required for all CHEM prefix courses.
  • No CHEM prefix course may be taken on a pass/fail basis, except those courses which are only taught pass/fail.
  • No CHEM prefix course may be repeated more than one time to improve the grade to a C- or better.​
  • All candidates for graduation with a Chemistry degree must complete a department exit survey prior to approval of graduation application and completion of the program.
