Jon M. Huntsman School of Business

Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems

The foundational role of the web across all businesses and organizations provides an advantage for college graduates from any background or program who have basic web programming and design skills. The Web Development minor is an option that can significantly enhance any resume and complement any major, providing students with hands-on practical experience in HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript, along with web/database interfaces, web apps, application programming interfaces (APIs), and other web-related tools. These skills are consistently identified among the most critical and marketable in job postings related to all industries and professions.

No prior technical experience is needed for this minor, which includes 15 total credits (12 required and 3 elective). Individual substitutions for course requirements may be considered and approved on a case-by-case basis by the Data Analytics and Information Systems Department.
