Admission Requirements for this Program

Admitted to USU in Good Standing, and have one of the following qualifications:

  • Top 10% of high school class
  • 3.7+ High School GPA
  • 28+ ACT/1300+ SAT score
  • 3.5+ High School GPA and 24+ ACT/1160+ SAT score
    • Accounting majors: 3.6+ High School GPA and 26+ ACT/1230+ SAT score

 

Transfer students from other institutions

Option 1:

24+ post-high school credits

3.5+ overall GPA

Option 2:

The following courses with a grade of C or higher: 

2.00 overall GPA 

*The first offering of DATA 1100  will be in Fall 2020. Students who completed MIS 2100 prior to Fall 2020 will not be required to take DATA 1100 .

Complete the Huntsman School Admissions Application by the deadlines of December 1 for spring semester, April 1 for summer semester, and July 1 for fall semester.

University Studies Requirements for Major

Students must complete the General Education Requirements 

Students must also complete the University Studies Depth Requirements 

  • Elective credits needed will be determined on an individual basis (a student with continuing education, AP credits, and language credits may not require additional elective credits).
  • An approved international experience is required for this major:
    • Global Learning Experience/Summer Program is recommended between the student’s sophomore and junior year, or
    • MSLE 4250  Advanced Internship (international) is recommended between the student’s junior and senior year
  • Students must declare a minor or a double major.
  • A 2.5 overall and major GPA is required to meet graduation requirements for the Huntsman School of Business.

Business Acumen


All acumen courses must have a minimum grade of C unless otherwise stated.

Double Major/Minor Required


A double major or minor is required for the International Business major. Any Huntsman Business major or minor may be used OR many from other colleges. 

International Experience Required


An international experience is required and can be fulfilled by an approved international work experience, internship, traditional Study Abroad, Go Global experience, SEED experience, or living in an international country for 3 months or longer. Internship credit (MSLE 4250 ) can be applied to the SEED experience. Students should contact their advisor for details.
