NOTES: The highest math requirement for this degree is MATH 1220 - Calculus II (QL) . Suggested schedule assumes student has passed MATH 1210 - Calculus I (QL)

Admissions Requirements for this Program

New freshmen Admitted to USU in Good Standing and an overall GPA of 2.0.

 

Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU

A combined GPA of 3.0 is required to be admitted to SCED program.

Physics Teaching Math Requirements


All courses must be passed with a grade of C or better.

Students must take either PHYS 3010 - Space Exploration from Earth to the Solar System (DSC/QI)  or PHYS 3030 - The Universe (DSC/QI) . Select 3 additional credits from PHYS courses at the 3000 level and above.

A miminum grade of C is required for all courses. In addition, students must select one full Science Series (2 semesters) from the following:
