Program Description

USU provides the Certificate in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies for the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) Category 3.

  • The program includes eight (8) courses. Students must take a minimum of 16 credits from these courses.

  • All courses are offered via distance education.

  • Tuition: $472/credit hour

  • Employment Requirement: Twelve (12) months of acceptable work experience under the supervision of a CRC, or twenty-four (24) months of acceptable work experience. Work experience does not need to be completed before applying for the program.

  • Certificate can be completed in as few as two semesters. Courses are offered spring and fall semesters via distance education. Students have the flexibility to register for as many courses each semester as they desire.

Eligibility

To be eligible for certification in this Category you must have a master’s, specialist, or doctoral degree in a related field of study with course content that emphasizes rehabilitation, counseling, disability, therapy, health, employment, wellness, or human development. CRCC provides a pre-review of transcripts and work experience.
