Health Education and Promotion Core Requirements (34-36 credits)
A grade of C- or better is required in all HEP-prefix courses required for the major. A 2.75 overall GPA is required for admittance and graduation from the major. Major coursework may not be taken pass/fail, including professional development electives. In addition to the core requirements, any course in statistics is a prerequisite for the program. Please note: MATH 1050 or higher may be necessary for students planning to take certain chemistry and/or physics courses or intending to go on to graduate school.
Health Science Emphasis Professional Core Requirements (8 credits)
Professional Development Health Science (24 credits)
Choose 24 credits from the following three areas. Only 9 credits are allowed in the Social Sciences and Supportive Courses area. Biological Science (Choose 0-24 credits)
Physical Science and Mathematics (0-24 credits)
Social Science and Supportive Courses (choose 0-9 credits)
Only 9 of the 24 Professional Development credits can be selected from the Social Science and Supportive Courses group.
