Program Requirements

This program requires a GPA of 3.0 for admission and a GPA of 3.0 in required major courses. Program requirements may not be taken for a pass/fail grade, except those courses that are only taught pass/fail.

Communications Literacy Requirement


In addition to satisfying the basic Communications Literacy (CL) general education requirement, students in this major must receive a grade of C+ or better in both ENGL 1010  and ENGL 2010 

Preparation Anchor - ELED


Unless otherwise noted, these courses require a grade of B- or better for Licensure Lane Designation (LLD). Students not receiving these minimum grades may receive General Studies Lane Designation (GSLD).

Assessment, Curriculum, and Instruction Core


A grade of B- or better is required for those courses taken prior to Licensure Lane Designation (LLD) to receive LLD. A grade of B- or better is required for those courses taken after receiving LLD for LLD continuation.

Professional Anchor Early Childhood

Early Childhood Requirement


Must receive grade of B- or better for LLD continuation.

Additional Professional Anchor Requirement


Students in the dual ELED/ECE major should take 9 credits of the courses below, while students in the Early Childhood Education major should see their advisor to determine the additional number of credits needed to fulfill the 120 credit requirement.
