Yoga Studies - Minor

The Yoga Studies curriculum promotes a sequential approach to the study of yoga history, literature, philosophy and practice and includes an accredited 200- & 300-hr YOGA ALLIANCE® Teacher Training Program. Pursuing completion of the 200-hr training only will not fulfill completion of the minor. There is no guarantee in which semester a particular course will be taught. Please consult with the advisor to plan your schedule.

Yoga Studies Minor Core Curriculum (16 credits)

Students from all USU majors who have at least a 2.5 overall GPA qualify to enter the Yoga Studies minor. Please note, there is differential tuition associated with this minor beyond plateau tuition costs, regardless of whether or not you pursue certification. For specifics, please consult your advisor or the program director.

PE 1057 is the required Yoga Practicum course.

Teacher Certification: Both 200-hour and 300-hour (for minor) teacher training certification is also available. Completion of the 200-hour training alone does not fulfill requirements to complete the minor. For information, contact the program director.
