Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science at Utah State University offers the Computer Science Teaching Minor program. This minor is important for Utah schools because:
- Utah schools are actively seeking good Computer Science Teachers.
- The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) has established Computer Science Standards for grades K-12 and there is a shortage of teachers endorsed to teach these standards.
- Computer Science is a great teaching combination with math, science, and business.
All courses counted toward the minor must be completed with a grade of C- or better. The overall GPA for the Computer Science Teaching - Minor courses must be at least 2.5.
