Students are required to complete 18 credits, including nine credits from the core classes, with one core class from each area: Journalism and Communication (JCOM), Technical Communication and Rhetoric (TCR), and Creative Writing (CW).

Students must earn a grade of C or better in courses they are counting toward the certificate and must maintain a 2.75 GPA or better in certificate courses.

Elective Courses (9 credits)
