College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences
Department of Technology, Design and Technical Education
The Associate of Business (AB) degree program provides a foundation in general business principles. In addition to requiring general education courses, the AB Degree focuses on fundamental skills including bookkeeping, business communication, small business management, basic data analysis, marketing, professionalism, and sales. This program provides flexible learning options and facilitates access throughout the State of Utah. Students completing the program will be prepared for jobs in small businesses and entry-level management roles.
The degree program also prepares students to move on to several bachelor’s degree options. Students wishing to continue their education should complete the requirements for the Associate of Business degree, incorporating specific business courses, and should consult early in their program with academic advisors. This advisement is necessary to obtain the prerequisites for the bachelor’s degree program they wish to complete.
Additionally, this program is designed to “stack” from aligned technical business certificates offered through Utah’s Technical Colleges, including the technical certificate programs at USU Blanding, USU Eastern, and USU Moab.
