About This Degree:
In the program, students gain the knowledge and skills needed to manage public or private forests. The program focuses on providing future foresters with the broadest possible understanding of the biological, physical, economic, political, and social aspects of forestry. This multidisciplinary degree consists of courses in biology, math, chemistry, statistics, forest ecology, inventory, water quality, wildlife habitat, tree species, and geographic information systems.

Minimum University Requirements
Admission Requirements For This Program
- New freshmen: Admitted to USU in Good Standing
- Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU: 2.5 GPA
Forest Ecology and Management Required Courses (84-85 credits)
All courses required for the major must be taken on an A-B-C-D-F basis. A grade of C- or better is required for all courses taken in the major department as well as STAT 2000 or STAT 3000 . The grade point average for all courses taught by the Quinney College of Natural Resources must be 2.5 or higher.
