About This Degree
Wildlife ecology and management includes the analysis, management, conservation, and restoration of forests, rangeland ecosystems, and their associated wildlife populations. The wildlife ecology and management major at USU emphasizes the ecology, behavior, conservation, and management of wildlife populations and communities in terrestrial ecosystems.

- Admitted and current students must meet with an academic advisor for help with semester by semester planning, connections to co-curricular experiences, understanding of USU policies, and accessing USU resources. A faculty advisor will be appointed for each wildlife student (contact the academic advisor in the Academic Services Center for more information). Current students should also meet with a faculty advisor for career and graduate school information.

Admission Requirements for this Program
- New freshmen: Admitted to USU in Good Standing
- Transfer students from other institutions or other programs at USU: 2.5 GPA
Wildlife Ecology and Management Required Courses
NOTES: All courses required for the major must be taken on an A-B-C-D-F basis. A grade of C- or better is required for all courses taken in the major department as well as STAT 2000 or STAT 3000. The grade point average for all courses taught by the Quinney College of Natural Resources must be 2.5 or higher.
