Industrial Mechanics/Maintenance - Certificate of Completion

Students in Industrial Mechanics/Maintenance will have all essential proficiencies for the power plant apprenticeship program. This degree has been designed to help meet the criteria and essential skills and functions for students to come through the program and be able to complete their Journeyman’s test in Industrial Maintenance.

Welding and Related Subjects


Students must complete 18 credits in courses with a WELD prefix. Following are some possible courses, but students may talk to the program advisor regarding additional options.

Machine Shop and Related Subjects


Students must take 18 credits of machine shop and related subjects. The following are courses that may be used to fulfill these requirements, but students may talk to the program advisor about additional options.

Industrial Mechanics


Students must take 6 credits of courses with the prefix of ELET and APPR. Students should consult the program advisor regarding which courses would fit best with the student’s goals.

Technical Mathematics or Equivalent
