About This Degree
Data analysts and data scientists are in heavy demand by companies who need to make decisions in an increasingly data-driven world. In the Data Analytics program, students gain hands-on experience applying the latest data technologies and sophisticated analytical methods, with rigorous courses in computer programming, machine learning and artificial intelligence, data engineering, visualization, and data mining. The Data Analytics experience includes real-world problem-solving across all functions of an organization, including strategy, sales and marketing, accounting, finance, human resources, and operations.

- The highest math requirement for this degree is MATH 2270 Linear Algebra (QI) .

Minimum University Requirements
Notes:
- Elective credits needed will be determined on an individual basis (a student with continuing education, AP credits, and Language credits may not require additional elective credits).
- Completing a minor is recommended to fulfill elective credits.
- Completion of IS 4250 requirement is recommended during junior or senior year.
- ENGL 2010 requires a grade of C or better to satisfy prerequisites for further courses.
- A 2.0 overall and 2.5 major GPA is required to be recommended for graduation.
- Major requirements may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.
Major Requirements - Analytics Core (34 credits)
Students are required to take the following courses along with the business acumen. A 2.5 GPA in core and major courses is required for graduation.
Business Acumen (46-47 credits)
All acumen courses must have a minimum grade of C unless otherwise stated.
Open Electives
Total elective credit is determined by General Education courses taken, degree type selected, additional credits earned, and any additional math or other prerequisite courses needed. Please consult your Academic Advisor for details.
