The most successful products and services are designed with the end user, the customer, in mind. The Marketing Design minor explores the customer-product interface, Whether an app, a physical product, software, physical space, or service, the product offering must make sense to the customer.
The Marketing Design Minor is a collaboration between the Department of Marketing and Strategy (MSLE) in the Huntsman School of Business and the Department of Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences (ITLS) in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education. Students will learn the fundamentals of marketing and customer behavior and have options of taking courses in instructional design, video game design, product design, or multimedia design. Students earning this minor are qualified for careers in User Experience and User Interface Design, Project and Product Management, Web Development, Learning Design, Game Design, Data Analysis, and Technical Writing.
Students must have an overall 2.5 GPA to graduate with the Marketing Design Minor.
