The courses in the certificate focus on human development, infancy and early childhood development, applied behavior analysis, characteristics and services for young children, family coaching and providing services in applied settings. Students can take the coursework on the Logan Main Campus (21 credits) or through the statewide campuses (20 credits). By completing this certificate, students meet the requirements for a Utah Department of Health and Human Services Early Intervention Specialist credential to serve children with disabilities ages 0-3 and their families.
