History - Minor

A grade of C must be earned in all history courses used for the minor. Minor requirements may not be taken for a pass/fail grade. To graduate with a history minor, students must have a 2.5 minor GPA.

History Minor Requirements (15 credits)

Every student must complete ONE of the following history survey courses (3 credits):

HIST 1100 - European History to 1500 (BHU) 3 credit(s)
HIST 1110 - European History from 1500 (BHU) 3 credit(s)
HIST 1500 - Pre-Modern World (BHU) 3 credit(s)
HIST 1510 - The Modern World (BHU) 3 credit(s)
HIST 2700 - United States to 1877 (BAI) 3 credit(s)
HIST 2710 - United States 1877-Present (BAI) 3 credit(s)

Upper-Division Electives (12 credits)

Students should complete their remaining 12 credits by taking 3000-and 4000-level history courses for a total of 15 credits in the history minor. At least 3 upper-division credits must be taken in non-US history.

No more than 3 credits of HIST 4930 may be applied toward the minor.
