Overview
The S.J. & Jessie E. Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (QANR) at Utah State University embodies the university’s land-grant mission through its commitment to education, research, and community engagement. With more than 250 faculty members, the college provides outstanding educational opportunities in over 200 degree and certificate programs across the Logan campus and statewide system. QANR’s offerings are unusually diverse for a single college, spanning agriculture, natural resources, and applied sciences, yet every department shares a commitment to innovative experiential learning, hands-on research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
QANR integrates applied research, teaching, and outreach to prepare students to address complex local and global challenges in a wide range of areas including sustainable agriculture, ecosystem management, water and land management, food security, technological innovation, and much more. Faculty and students collaborate through programs such as USU Extension and the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station, translating research into practical solutions for communities throughout the state. Through immersive field experiences, internships, and research opportunities, students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders in their fields. Admission Requirements
Undergraduate students accepted in good standing by Utah State University are eligible for admission to the Quinney College. Certain professional programs, including Professional Pilot, Outdoor Product Design and Development (OPDD), and Dietetics, among others, have limited enrollment and specific admission requirements. Applicants should consult individual program listings in the USU Catalog for detailed admission criteria and graduation requirements.

Financial Support
Scholarships
The Quinney College provides more than $1.5 million in scholarships annually to undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate Assistantships
Graduate students may receive financial assistance through research and teaching assistantships awarded by individual departments. Students are encouraged to contact their major professor or graduate program coordinator for details regarding available opportunities.
