The Climate Adaptation Science (CAS) degree specialization is available to MS and PhD students from participating degree programs (list below). The specialization emphasizes interdisciplinary research and includes training in informatics, modeling, communication, leadership, project management, risk assessment, decision-making under uncertainty, and interdisciplinary teamwork. The specialization closely integrates research, instruction, and real-world experience in collaboration with federal, state, and local land managers, as well as policymakers, citizen stakeholders, and scientists. The specialization requires nine credit hours total. To opt for this graduate degree specialization, you must declare this to your home department. Please use specialization code CLAD.
